Trans Neptunian Objects is an audio/visual performance, drawing inspiration on space and sea exploration narratives.
Trans Neptunian Objects

Trans Neptunian Objects is an audio/visual performance that navigates the liminal space between ocean depths and cosmic void. Sea and space—twin abysses of mystery—converge as parallel frontiers of human yearning, where the unknown beckons us beyond the familiar horizon.

Performed as support act for Drew McDowall at Ioannina Soundtrope Festival 2019.

The piece unfolds in three movements: the turbulent voyage of the explorer, punctuated by sublime moments of triumph when the impossible yields. Neptune, the blue planet, becomes a vessel for transformation—its surface alive with the fevered dreams of an artificial intelligence trained on microscopic life forms. Through generative adversarial networks, the machine hallucinates organisms into existence, while jellyfish and whales drift in orbit, dissolving the boundary between underwater realm and celestial expanse.
